What should be specified on Rebated Double Doors?
On Rebated Double Doors the Inactive Leaf (1st Closing Door) should be bolted using either Vertical Pullman Catches or Traditional Shoot Bolts and the Active Leaf (2nd Closing Door) should be fitted with a Single Latch unit or Horizontal Pullman Catches, so that this door is self latching. The standard requirement for Escape Hardware is that the door being operated in front of you must open with a single operation of the device.
