The execution of new road construction in our community has been inconsistent – and almost exclusively in the area of construction of Region of Halton-owned arterial roads that service our community’s new residential subdivisions. The Town of Milton needs to press the Region much harder on the need to invest in our community in a timely fashion, as it pertains to new road construction. Through a financial agreement with the Region and Mattamy Homes, construction and/or widening of additional sections of Derry Road, Thompson Road, James Snow Parkway and Louis St. Laurent Boulevard have been fast-tracked. Consideration now needs to be given to arterial roads in Ward 2, like Derry Road West and Tremaine Road.
