There are two basic options. One is the water-based top coating, called “Emulsions”, which are commonly referred to as “Seal-Coatings” as they seal asphalt by coating it. The other is “Liquid Asphalt,” Liquid Asphalt soaks into the old asphalt, sealing it “from the inside out”.
