What should a school do if a student becomes ill during the assessment window and is unable to complete the test?

There are two course of action that may be followed. One is to have the student placed on homebound and give the test at home or at the hospital. Another possibility is to request a medical exemption for that student. (Keep in mind that if the student could do the test as homebound, a medical exemption would not be granted. The student would have to be so ill that he or she would be mentally unfit to take the test.) The testing window cannot be extended.
