What should a DJ have for backup equipment?
Our Answer: While it’s very important for a DJ to have backup equipment, professional equipment that is properly maintained rarely has a problem. Most disc jockeys do not use their equipment several times a week unless they are doing bar gigs, so good equipment tends to last for a number of years before it needs replacement for normal wear and tear. More common is the occasional light bulb that burns out or maybe a button or switch that doesn’t respond the way it used to. Or sometimes the disc jockey himself has either a personal or family emergency and requires a substitute for the event he’s scheduled for. But a well connected, well prepared disc jockey will have plenty of light bulbs, tools, and odd parts and other personal disc jockey connections to make sure that any scheduled event goes off without a hitch. We at Twin Cities Wedding Disc Jockeys back up each other with our equipment, our expertise, and ourselves at every event. There are no weak links or “Budget DJ’s” in our comp
