What shooting modes are available on the Stylus 810?
Shooting modes govern what type of data (still image or movie) is recorded and how much control the photographer has over the camera settings. Most shooting modes are accessed by turning the mode dial so that the appropriate icon or text is aligned with the LED light to the left of the dial. Additional or alternate steps, if required, are described below. The following shooting modes are available on the Stylus 810: • Program Auto mode (Camera icon): The camera automatically sets the optimum aperture and shutter speed for the shooting conditions. The photographer may manipulate other settings via camera menus. When the shutter button is pressed, the camera uses the current values of those settings. Because the factory default for some settings is AUTO, the camera initially also retains control of them. For example, the camera will use the same white balance value in Program Auto shooting mode as it will in the Full Auto shooting mode unless the white balance setting is manually changed
