What shapes are spindle whorls?
Shapes vary within a basic spherical shape: conical, double-conical, disc-shaped, and globular. The Mycenaeans produced whorls that were balls, cones, bicones and ranging from 1.25 cm to 3 cm in diameter(Hughes-Brock 1999: 280). The whorls found on Cyprus were circular, conical, or hourglass shaped.
