Citizenship and Immigration Canada provides funding for a range of settlement and integration programs and services. These provide newcomers with many of the tools they need to settle into Canada and integrate as quickly as possible. The Immigrant Settlement and Adaptation Program (ISAP) introduces new arrivals to economic, social, health, cultural, educational and recreational services, along with many other services. The Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) program provides adult immigrants with language instruction in English or French as soon as possible after their arrival. The Host Program helps new immigrants learn about Canadian values and traditions. The program matches newcomers with Canadian volunteers who serve as friends and advisors.
