What setting should be used for the length of the Minor and Major Activity Solunar Periods?
In John Alden Knight’s original theory a period of approximately 1 hour for a Minor Period and 2 hours for a Major Period applied. Moon Phase Oracle uses these period durations as a default and allows you to adjust the periods to reflect your observations and improve your targeting. • Do Solunar Periods occur in areas outside of the marine environment? Solunar periods are based upon the peak influence in relation to the gravitation effect of the Moon and Sun. All harmonic constants (as used for Tidal predictions) are filtered out when calculating Solunar Periods. Solunar Theory has been used for Fishing (both marine and freshwater) and Hunting. There also have been studies to support the effect of the Moon on horticulture. • When I start Moon Phase Oracle I get the message: “An English Language Setting is Required”.
