What setting dose an obstetrician work in?

0

An Obstetrician works in the setting of a Dr.’s office. He may be in with a group of other obgyn’s who rotate on seeing their patients or he may work alone. He may also work a long side a fertility specialist. Another type of Dr. that may be in the office is a GYN. He only sees patients who are older or who cannot have babies. A GYN does not deliver babies. He usually sees women who need to have pap smears, for annual exams, to schedule mamograms, or due to all the insurance height…a Gyn can also be a primary care physician for women if the insurance allows. He also performs surgeries such as hysterectomy’s and other female surgeries.
