What sets the CEHE apart from other organizations focused on higher education reform?
The Center for Excellence in Higher Education is different because it focuses on voluntary philanthropy, which provides about 10 percent of all higher education dollars. Like others in society, many philanthropists are tired of throwing money at problems and want to take a more active role in shaping and supervising their giving. We are focusing our efforts on using philanthropy to promote change. Can you discuss any CEHE projects that you think will help bring about the changes you seek?
