What sets Pedder Red apart from other mid-priced shoe brands like Nine West, Aldo and Charles & Keith?
We’re fun and quirky and there’s a twist to every style so there is a reason to purchase from us. Our target is customers who are young in attitude. They’re usually in their early 20s and are daring in their taste. Where do you get your design inspirations from? I keep my eyes wide open when I travel. For example, I saw some Chinese silk at a hotel’s gift shop and it’s something I can adapt into a design. I also read widely. You’ll be surprised at what you can get from a financial magazine, which was where I got the inspiration for a card holder from. Is it not tempting to just waltz into one of the Pedder Group’s luxury stores to browse and get inspired? It is an advantage to have such close access to these labels but our design ethos is this: We look at a very beautiful pair of Louboutins, close the box, then ask ourselves what the designer is trying to convey.
