What sets Hallmark Ragdolls apart from other breeders?
Whatever you do, do not and I mean DO NOT buy from Ellen Milas. I bought my first kitten from her three years ago and my experience was horrible. I got my kitten when she was 8 weeks old and immediately notices her eye lids were inflamed, eye goop, and runny nose. Ellen said that was just normal and not to worry too much about it. Took my money and sent me home with a sick kitten. That night was like hell. The kitten had runny poop and could barely breath. The very next day I took my kitten to the vet and it turned out that my kitten had a severe case of upper respiratory infection and was positive for FLV. The vet put her on medication for two weeks. Then she got well for a couple of weeks and back sick again. No appetite for food, energy level was very very low and just looking so pale. The kitten gained only 2 ounces in a whole month! So we’re back to the vet! After a series of tests and hundreds of dollars, the vet could not figure out what was wrong with the kitten… So I went and visited another vet who ran another series of tests on her. The vet diagnosed her with FIP after ultrasound images showed fluid in her abdomen. Of course Ellen Milas refused to take responsibility or contribute to covering these expenses and said I was on my own. One week later my kitten died because of FIP. Ellen Milas and hallmarkragdolls are dishonest and careless people and I warn everyone not to take the chance of buying from her. She will take your money and turn her back on you. Her cattery is infected with diseases and I even heard that she breeds cats infected with the HCM gene and she also breeds fathers to daughters. Ellen milas and hallmark ragdolls should be put out of business for good and should not be allowed to ever own a cat. Ellen Milas, if you reading this, I hope you can sleep at night knowing how much pain and suffering you caused me and all the other people who bought kittens from you.
Hallmark Ragdolls has over 20 years of experience breeding Ragdolls and produces cats that exemplify the breed without sacrificing the vitality of our breeding stock. We are NOT a kitten mill. Each kitten is raised underfoot with lots of love and attention, and kittens are only allowed to leave their mothers after they have matured sufficiently and learned critical social skills (about 12-14 weeks), such as socializing with others and using litter boxes and scratching posts. Breeding cats are allowed sufficient time between litters to put their best efforts into grooming each litter for adulthood and maintaining their own best health. Cat breeding is not something that those motivated solely by money should attempt. I do it for love of the Ragdoll breed, and spreading the joy of Ragdoll ownership among as many people as wish to be “owned” by one!
