What sets a People to People journey apart from other student trips?
People to People has a clear mission: to bring American students closer to people and cultures around the world. We do this by providing direct and unique interaction in many settings. Student Ambassadors meet with government experts, absorb world culture through theater or music, and enjoy insider access to major cultural sites such as castles and memorials. Student Ambassadors prepare for this experience well in advance, and are asked to keep a daily journal and participate fully in all activities for academic credit. Working as a team with other students and making friends in a well-supervised, exploring environment teaches flexibility and builds leadership skills. The overall experience of comparing ones own culture with the world is a maturing process that lasts the rest of their lives.
