What services does the UM shRNA Core Facility provide?
The UMCCC shRNA Core Facility currently maintains and distributes the Human pGIPZ lentiviral shRNAmir library, as it arrives from Open Biosystems. Throughout the acquisition period of subsequent human releases, we will also be simultaneously receiving the full Mouse lentiviral shRNAmir library as well as two full kinase libraries, targeting all human and mouse kinases, which will be made available immediately upon arrival. We are also currently assessing the campus-wide need for siRNA collections and will be adding siRNA allocation to our list of services. If this is something that would be of interest to your laboratory or investigations, please contact the shRNA Core and we will discuss how we can facilitate the purchasing of siRNA in the most cost effective and convenient way for you. Additionally, we have negotiated a preliminary agreement with the UMCCC Vector Core to provide streamline processing from clone replication to lentiviral production or user-supplied cell infection, min
