What services do the internet provides?
Internet itself is nothing but a network of connected computers. So, itself internet does not do anything. However, you can appreciate the idea of thousands of thousands of people connected together. Through this medium you can share almost anything, as Sharing is the middle name for internet. Common services available through internet are: Browsing: You can use a web browser (e.g. Firefox, IE etc.) to browse different web pages; Emailing: You can use a dedicated mail client (Thunderbird, or Outlook) to send and recieve emails to and from your friends using an email address. You can use web based emails (such as Yahoo, or Gmail or Hotmail) by registering at the websites and getting an email address.
