What services are there for persons with disabilities?

0

There are extensive services for those with disabilities, both at the University and in the library system. Services at the University for those eligible include advocacy and support; assistive devices and equipment; on campus transportation; note taking and counseling; liaison with campus departments and other agencies. Eligibility is determined by an individual’s student, faculty or staff status. For more details about university services as a whole, see www.library.utoronto.ca/equity/ssd.htm. Many individual libraries have designated contact people. Questions about using library services can be directed, in the first instance, to the Coordinator of Library Services for Persons with Disabilities at 416-978-5240 or to the contact person in any individual library. For services within the library system see www.library.utoronto.ca/services/disabled/. For more information about Assistive Technology and the Adaptive Technology Resource Centre, see www.utoronto.ca/atrc.
