What services are offered for Household Hazardous Waste (HHW)?
Residential HHW materials can be brought to the Central Landfill, the Huntington Solid Waste/Recycling Center, and the Interlachen Solid Waste/Recycling Center between the hours of 8:30 AM 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. This service is available to residents of Putnam County and the following materials are accepted: Used Motor Oil, Used Oil Filters, Antifreeze, Batteries, Waste Tires, Transmission Fluid, Brake Fluid, Fluorescent Light Bulbs, Paint, Pesticides, Insecticides, Herbicides, Fungicides, Fertilizers, Household Cleaners, Solvents, Degreasers, Adhesives, Gasoline and Unwanted Fuels, Pool Chemicals, Paint Thinners, Mercury Containing Items, Unwanted or Outdated Medications, and Smoke Detectors.
