What services are available specifically to help international students at the UW?
International students rely on two services, ISS and FIUTS. • International Student Services (ISS) assists international students with many issues, including immigration and, academic, financial, and personal difficulties. • The Foundation for International Understanding Through Students — (FIUTS, pronounced faijutʃʰ) — is a non-profit organization that inspires cross-cultural understanding through intercultural events, community homestays, and student leadership development. FIUTS also oversees the International Student Welcome Week in the fall and the smaller orientation programs offered each quarter for new students and UW students planning to study abroad.
