Residence Halls are staffed with full time officers though the University’s Public Safety Department. Public Safety Officers monitor the buildings 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A person must be either a resident of that building or a registered guest to be allowed entry. Guests must have valid photo identification and be signed in to the building by a resident. The campus transportation system has shuttle stops near all of the NYU Housing sites. The shuttle system runs until 2:00 am. After those hours, Public Safety provides an escort service for students traveling between NYU locations.
