What security functions are offered with StorPoint CD?
Since not all CD-ROM discs are supposed to be accessed by all users, and some have license restrictions, Axis CD-ROM Servers restrict access and limit the amount of simultaneous users. The access restrictions can be set in each environment individually. In NetWare the users can be authenticated against the user database in a NDS or in Bindery. In UNIX (NFS) Group ID, User ID or individual IP addresses can be set, and in Windows network (SMB) user level access control and share level access control (password) is implemented. It is also possible to restrict the maximum number of simultaneous users for all environments.
