What security and combat jobs are in the Air Force?
Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) – Advise other services of the use of Air Force power. Basically, they move with Army and Marine Corps teams and call in close air support when needed. Combat Weatherman – The weatherman for special operation units. A vital role for all operations, they deploy deep into enemy territory with special ops teams to take the weather. They have control over small UAVS (Ravens and such) and are also trained in many combat arms. Pararescueman (PJ) – The elite para jumpers. They are trained to perform Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) missions. They basically jump out of planes to save those who are in hostile lands. (Usually downed pilots) Security Forces- Security Forces are the force protection unit of the USAF.
