What scoring system does the league utilize?
We have the most fair scoring system that works for all teams that we use. Our scoring system handicaps not only the points for pocketed balls, but takes into consideration how many points players give up making for a complete handicap. We then use 80% of that handicap which makes it very comparable to bowling which compares averages and uses 80% for their own handicap as well. If you view the page where I actually have applied other hanidcap systems to results from our league, you’ll see that ours treats teams fairly more than any of the others. Higher end teams if they play their average consistently can and will win in our league, but if you ask players from the teams who have, they can tell you they were indeed challenged. The system also allots opportunity for lower end teams that makes it fair they they would not have in any other system.
