What scientific questions are science currently addressing?
There is a lot of research on virutally everything right now: – Nanotech (which is often not really nanotech, but instead people are just trying to get money by putting nanotech on a grant proposal). – Solid state physics / Electrical Engineering is a HUGE field right now. For example, some of these physicists/EEs are trying to work out better transistors, and new light emitting technologies to make your TV at home look prettier, and therefore they can charge more. As a more specific example, there are some very well known researchers in Australia trying to make monitors from light emitting polymers. This is getting close to being a reality. (The monitor would be thin enough and flexible enough to wear as clothing… so one could have shirts with moving images.) EE is way in demad across the board… lots of systems being developed. – Particle physics, such as information about different particles. Proof of string theory and dark energy/matter is currently a Nobel prize winning researc
