The Virginia Board of Nursing accredits licensed practical nursing (LPN) programs in the state, and some schools that carry its credentialing are in southwest Virginia. Through a combination of classroom-based lectures, and practice in laboratory and clinical settings, these schools provide students with the skills and knowledge to pass the National Council Licensure Examination, necessary to work in the field. Lee County Career and Technical Center Located in Ben Hur, Lee County Career and Technical Center is a member of the Lee County public school system. Students begin the school’s LPN program as seniors in high school by attending classes part time for nine months while comp
