What schools must offer the free tutoring services?
Title I schools must offer supplemental educational services after not making AYP in the same subject for three or more years. This year, 2008-2009, CMS is also offering SES to students of schools that have not made AYP for two or more years. For the current school year, there are 25 SES schools that are offering this free tutoring to eligible students. Can students at Title I School Improvement schools transfer to a public school of choice AND receive free tutoring services? No. When both the public school choice and supplemental educational services options are available, parents may choose the transfer option or tutoring services, but not both.
