What scene modes are available in the Stylus 710?
Scene modes are templates of camera settings that are optimized for specific shooting conditions. Factors such as ISO, f-stop, shutter speed, exposure compensation, flash mode and white balance are automatically adjusted for the selected situation and applied. When a scene mode is selected, its default settings take effect. Many of these settings cannot be overridden while shooting in that mode. Using scene modes allows you to rapidly and conveniently enable multiple complex settings all at once and without having to navigate through the camera menus. Instead, just identify your current shooting conditions and select the appropriate scene mode. In this way, even a novice user can become an “instant expert”. The following scene modes are available in the Stylus 710: • Portrait: Portrait mode is suitable for taking a portrait-style picture of a person, such as the head-and-shoulders shot typical of yearbooks. The camera automatically sets the optimal shooting conditions to produce natura
