Currently, DirecTV offers three HDTV channels: HDN (199), HBOH (509) and SHOH (543). All of these channels can be recorded by a JVC DVHS deck with the AVX-1. The AVX-1 does not assist in the viewing or time shifting of non-HDTV satellite channels on the DTC100.
