What safety problems/hazards do the use of retractable seating present in the Assembly Room?
Retractable seating is used in many school assembly buildings, and does not pose any safety concerns. Staff has spoken with the Citys Interior Design consultant about this issue and determined that safety is enhanced through the selection of a high quality brand of seating. Selection of seating and furnishings will occur at a later phase of the project.
