What safety precautions are being taken to ensure that all correspondence between pen pals is of an appropriate nature?
Rising Lotus staff reviews all correspondence affiliated with the Kids Care program (coming in and going out) to ensure that all communication between participating children is of an appropriate nature. Correspondence deemed inappropriate will result in a child being barred from further participation in the program. If any submitted correspondence crosses any legal boundaries, the proper authorities will be immediately notified. Also, please note, for obvious safety reasons, we do not allow pen pals to mail packages of any kind to one another. Rather than shipping a gift to your pen pal, we invite you to make a donation to our Kids Care Fund. This fund provides each child at Rising Lotus Children’s Village with a special gift on his/her holiday (e.g. toy, book, etc.).
