There is a range of safety measures and programs on each of U of T’s campuses. Each campus has a community police force made up of special constables who work with members of the university community to respond to concerns and promote safety. For more information about U of T’s campus police services, visit their websites: St. George, UTSC and UTM. In addition, there are a number of safety promotion initiatives in place on each campus, including emergency phones and the WalkSmart program, which provides pairs of escorts for those walking alone on any of the three campuses in the evening. For more information about these programs, and for advice on how students can take action to increase their own safety, visit the website of U of T’s Community Safety Office.
