What Safety Features Should a Car Have?

KYRA PHILLIPS, CNN ANCHOR: With new auto safety technology on the horizon, the big question is when will these innovations be standard features in our cars. To help us answer such questions, we’re joined in Washington by Julie Rochman of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Hi, Julie. JULIE ROCHMAN, INSURANCE INSTITUTE FOR HIGHWAY SAFETY: Thanks for having me on the show. PHILLIPS: Yes. Highway safety advocates historically have focused on efforts — their efforts, I would say, on preventing crashes.
