What safeguards are there for protecting volunteers?
Protection of volunteers is paramount. All trials are reviewed by Ethic Committee (EC), Ministry of Public Health and these are regulated by Food and Drug Administration, Ministry of Public Health. The trial cannot commence unless EC and FDA approval have been received. The principal investigator is bound by Declaration of Helsinki guidelines for conducting biomedical research in human subjects. Before enter the study, volunteers have to check up their health with our medical teams in order to meet specific criteria for inclusion in the study.
