What routes do we go on the Segway Tour?
Your tour starts at our office on Allens Avenue, located in Upper South Providence. This area was part of the original 1636 purchase of land by Roger Williams from the Narragansett Indians. It remained pastureland through most of the 18th century (belonging to the town of Cranston until 1868). The character of Upper South Providence is both residential (mostly rental units) and industrial. The so-called Jewelry District near downtown is part of this area.
