What rollers are best for pin-up hairstyles?
Velcro or “magic” rollers are great as they are easy to put in and don’t need pins to hold them in place. Also heated rollers are fantastic, they only take a few minutes to “set” and you can create heaps of different styles. Main points to remember are the smaller the roller, the tighter the curl. If you put rollers in “sitting” on the scalp you will get bouncy curls with lots of root lift, but if you put them in the ends of your hair you will get a gentle wave. Experimenting by putting them in sideways on, upside down or even opposite each other in rows will give other effects. When you take the rollers out try brushing the hair through with your fingers and a little spray to reduce static. Kirby grips are great to pin your style in place but make sure you get the right colour to match your hair (so they can’t be seen) They come in black, brown, yellow or white and for extra security be sure to use plenty and cross them over each other so they can’t fall out and let you hair fall down
