What roles, if any, do the American Nurses Association and my CMA play in the presidential elections?
” The Next Presidential Election is Right Around the Corner- Who Will ANA Support?” (Capitol Update, April 07) describes the ANA presidential endorsement process, which includes input from the members and ANA’s Constituent Member Associations, in detail. The ANA Political Action Committee (ANA-PAC) and PAC Board of Directors have begun developing timelines for gathering information about the candidates. The goal of the process is to identify which candidate(s) will best represent the interests of nurses and patients, and finally, to decide whether to recommend a candidate for ANA endorsement.
