What roles are covered by the Grey Book?
There are 11 roles covered by the Scheme of Conditions of Service (Grey Book). They range from firefighter to Group Manager (and their control equivalents) and Area Managers. The units of competency that form each of these roles are laid down by the NJC in the Fire & Rescue Services Rolemaps . For further details please refer to paragraph 6 Section 3 of the Grey Book.
