What role will the British Association of Sport and Exercise Medicine (BASEM) play in training?

0

BASEM is the Speciality Association for the medical speciality of Sport and Exercise Medicine. It is anticipated that all doctors, with sub-speciality interest or as specialists, will be members and thus belong to their speciality association – BASEM. It is intended that the SAC in Sport and Exercise Medicine and the Education Committee of BASEM will work closely together. The chair of BASEM Education Committee or BASEM Chairman, has a seat on the SEM SAC. BASEM will continue to run a series of courses intended primarily at serving those with a sub-specialty interest in Sport and Exercise Medicine. Additionally, as the Specialty Association it will work symbiotically with the Faculty in delivering other core education within the Specialty of Sport and Exercise Medicine.
