What role will industrial gasification play in the current emissions and global warming dialogue?
Coal and natural gas fueled power generation plants account for more than 40 percent of global carbon dioxide emissions, one of the leading contributors to gases often associated with global warming. Current industrial gasification plants have the potential to capture carbon dioxide produced in the gasification process and make it available for sequestration or geologic storage. As carbon dioxide emissions and global warming play a growing role in national and international discourse, industrial gasification technology will become an increasingly attractive solution for utilization of fossil fuel feedstocks.
