What role will 3 Rivers Wet Weather play in helping communities comply with the orders?
3 Rivers Wet Weather will take a lead role in helping communities tackle this problem through a basin-wide approach. The organization will help to facilitate the communication between the municipalities (Basin Groups) and the regulatory agencies, and they will help communities coordinate the assessment and evaluation activities outlined in Phase I and II of the administrative consent orders. As communities in the Basin Groups collaboratively assess the municipal sewage collection system as one integrated system, they will be able to identify the most critical problems and cost-effective solutions to benefit municipalities throughout the ALCOSAN service area. Throughout Phase I and II, 3RWWDP will develop and implement a data warehouse for the information gathered during these phases.
