What role, positive and negative, has internet networking sites (facebook , twiiter etc.) had on adoption?
Positive, because of people being educated about the corrupt practices of the adoption industry, learning about people who are searching for loved ones, etc. I even track stories via Twitter, Digg, Facebook & myspace about reunions, searches & legislation I need to be concerned about. Negative, as far as all of the “Dear Burfmuggle” videos/pages/profiles/blogs there are just waiting to coerce a girl. The crap that’s out there is astonishing. Its actually depressing, because it shows just how punch-drunk main stream America is for adoption. Their entitlement is despicable…but I digress… eta: Duh. I cant believe I forgot to say that my n brothers contacted me the first time via facebook. See what happens when you get old!!!
