What role does the Security Consultant play?
The Security Consultant has to assess the threat perception and select a system accordingly. The onus of certifying the system (post-installation, pre-commissioning) for task worthiness is the consultant’s responsibility. In case of a system fault, is the Supplier protected from the liability of loss, due to breach of security? No. The supplier is not protected from the liability of loss due to breach of security, if proven so.
