What role does PlayStation Portable play in the Game 3.0 era?
It’s a developing situation for us with PSP in terms of Game 3.0. What we’ve always stated is that PlayStation Portable is the cultural currency between all of our products here at PlayStation. We’ve obviously been a much more living room-based console company, and the PSP allows you to take that same entertainment on the go. So, from that standpoint, the role that PSP plays is to be that kind of multifunctional product that allows you to take the same experience with you and go from there. :: Sony had its eye on the portable market for a long time before it actually delivered PlayStation Portable. Were you privy to any of the early developments before PSP was finalized? Do you know what Sony was thinking or what it wanted to do with something like PSP and how close it came before it actually launched the PlayStation Portable?
