What role does oxytocin have?
Many, I’m sure, but I know of two. Oxytocin is released in mothers during nursing. By flooding the mother’s brain with warm, loving feelings, it helps to foment a caring bond between the mother and the infant. This also happens to both sexes during orgasm, though the effect is more notable in women.
