What role does NIOSH have in the SEC petitioning process?
• Collect SEC petitions • Determine whether or not the petitions meet the minimum requirements for review and evaluation • Notify the petitioners, the Advisory Board, and the public as to whether or not the petitions meet the minimum requirements for review and evaluation • Provide the Advisory Board and the petitioners with information on the steps of the petition evaluation and other required procedures • Evaluate the petition • Provide a report on the SEC petition evaluation to the Advisory Board Top of Page
