What role does emotion play in the critical thinking process?
The role of emotion in the critical thinking process is a known tabu; however, emotion is ever present. Emotion is an intrinsic part of logic, however so we believe it not to be. The force behind the gathering of thoughts related to an expected conclusion has its fuel in emotion. The thoughts that have been isolated are covered with any one of the emotions (i.e. fear, love, hate, joy, etc.).
