What role does Australia have in setting the example on climate change?
Australia has an incredible opportunity to catapult itself onto the world stage at a level that belies its relative size by demonstrating moral and inspirational leadership on climate change – if Australia can’t change then no one can. Do you think Kevin Rudd is the man to deliver on this? Kevin is still too focused on economic growth and not enough on the wellbeing of Australians. Wellbeing, health and happiness is all that really matters and 50 years of excessive capitalism and single-minded economic focus has not delivered on this. What do you think will be the effect of the desalinisation plant on Sydney’s water? I can understand the need to ensure the water supply but would have preferred that we did this through reduction, efficiency and recycling of water use first.
