What role do you expect of Igbo people in YarAduas cabinet and National Assembly?
Our Igbo brothers in the Yar’Adua administration and National Assembly should work hard to make their mark. Professor Dora Akunyili is there. So was Professor Charles Soludo. Humphrey Nwosu was another. Same with Governor Sullivan Chime. They all carved a niche for themselves, which is what the people expect of them. That the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Ogbonna Onovo, is Igbo is good. He also should work hard and make his mark too. Extortion at check points by the police has not been stopped by any past IGP, but I believe Onovo can inscribe his name in gold by making such is confined to the dustbin of the past. Police extortion is pronounced in the Southeast and Southsouth zones. He should not allow himself go the way of his predecessors; even as I trust Onovo will never disappoint Ndigbo.
