What role do the Haemophilia Foundations play?
HFSA is the state organisation and it provides support for people with haemophilia and other bleeding disorders in SA. We have activities, offer peer support, and do different kinds of advocacy work when it is needed within the state. HFSA is a member organisation of HFA, Haemophilia Foundation Australia, which represents people with haemophilia, von Willebrand disorder and other related bleeding disorders and their families. They try to improve treatment and care through representation and advocacy, education and research. HFA is also involved in various international efforts to improve access to care and treatment for people with bleeding disorders around the world. Tell us a little more about your own experiences.
