What role do the 8th grade teachers play in the scheduling process?
A. 8th grade teachers prepare coding recommendations during the latter part of January. On Conference Day, the counselors will meet individually with each student to review the teacher recommendations. Teachers will use previous grades and the student’s work ethic as factors in determining the recommendation. Some teachers may make a recommendation in January/February that they would like to re-visit later in the spring. This is most likely to occur in math and foreign language recommendations.
